District officials, including Supt. Les Fujitake, have detailed the district's needs, and its plan to finance technology and safety improvements, repeatedly through the election season. Other factors or levies may cause school property taxes to increase or decrease, but the referendum will not cause property taxes to increase in the next four years, the district claims.
The district would spend more than $6 million on safety improvements for all of its buildings, with the majority of the spending coming in the first three years of the levy. The safety improvements are the result of a district review of its security needs.
